Swedish indie band ARSADI returns with “Closer”, a brooding yet tender single set for release 15 August 2025 via Rexius Records. Blending atmospheric rock textures with haunting lyrics and subtle, emotionally rich production, the track is a late-night reflection on shortcomings, miscommunication, and the desire to change.

Built on minimalist grooves, shimmering synths, and an airy vocal performance, “Closer” captures the complex layers of doubt in social relations . The track drifts between moments of vulnerability and restraint, drawing listeners into an emotionally charged space where connection feels simultaneously near and impossibly far.

Lyrically, ARSADI brings personal flaws up to the sunlight. “Closer” presents a deeper understanding of oneself and although it’s packed with self-criticism it leaves the listener with an encouraging feeling of slowly getting closer to the person one wishes to be: “I have always tried to blame the world. Never bothered looking inside first. I’m not saying I got it figured out now. [...] So I’ll keep swimming until I lose all my doubts”

ARSADI crafts emotionally rich indie rock shaped by shimmering synths, rhythmic guitar work, and sweeping vocals. Based in Uppsala, Sweden, their sound blends alt-leaning rock with the infectious energy of arena pop—perfect for euphoric playlists and emotionally charged road trip soundtracks. Formed after frontman Anthony Bachtiar returned from music studies in London, ARSADI grew from solo demos into a full band driven by artistic exploration and playful energy. The group—Anthony, Nils Öberg, Feria Hikmet, and Malkolm Bonander—earned early acclaim through groove-tinged, eclectic pop that evolved into a bold, unified sound: Indie rock with soaring melodies, textured production, anthemic pop hooks, and emotional resonance.

Their 2023 EP Introspections marked a turning point, praised for its polished production and lyrical depth. Tracks like “Overcome the Night” and “Fade In Fade Out” explore anxiety, resilience, and the pursuit of happiness through poetic allegories and references to literature and visual art.

After winning regional competitions and repeatedly playing the biggest stage at Uppsala's Kulturnatten Festival, ARSADI enters a new chapter with Rexius Records. A fresh wave of releases will continue channeling their emotionally driven, high-energy sound toward the big stage.
